Fiona will be out and about in the coming weeks, popping into clubs and groups to update volunteers on upcoming funding opportunities, training programmes and other Regional Youth Service work. Fiona will also be asking what volunteers are looking for, so have a think about any particular needs or interests your club or group might have in the coming months and let her know, whether its funding, training, or other supports for your club/group. Fiona will contact you before visiting your club to ensure you have the time for a visit!

Pre Budget Submission by Dublin Focus on Youth

Dublin Focus on Youth is a coalition of frontline youth projects and services working with young people in Dublin City who are in receipt of funding from the City of Dublin Youth Service Board (CDYSB).  The coalition was established in 2009 to raise the public profile of youth work and to highlight the potential impact of funding cut-backs on the work of its members and the young people with whom they work.  The purpose of the coalition is to promote youth work and lobby, challenge and resist funding cut-backs in the youth work sector.

On Wednesday 30th of Groups from Rialto, Inchicore and Bluebell are making their way by LUAS into the City Centre and assembling at Jervis Luas Stop at 12.00pm on Wednesday 30th of September 2009.

We want to protect individuals, families and communities from the government’s savage cuts. We want to sustain and protect community services and jobs for people in this area.

This years volunteer appreciation night takes place on the 9th june at CCRYS HQ at 7pm!!

Our newly renovated garden is ready for the party!  Lets hope the rain holds off.

Food and drink along with a raffle and presentation of awards will kick off the evening.
